Neighborhood Bar (2023)

by The Duende Project/Tony Brown

/

about

Likely to be the last official track released by the full band. A staple of our live shows, "Neighborhood Bar" is a dub-influenced tribute to, well, neighborhood bars and the atmosphere to be found there.

There may be one more track coming, but it won't be soon.

The photo is a shot of the sign that hung outside the back door of Nick's Bar and Restaurant in Worcester, MA. Site of our last live show, the home away from home where we had a residency for years following a Sunday night poetry reading. Nick's is no longer in business, closing not long after that last show; the bar is now Steel and Wire on Millbury Street.

Get you something? What you having?

We miss the bar, the people, and most of all the experience of playing together.
